New for 2026 · AI Search
Can Amazon's AI actually understand your listing?
Amazon now runs COSMO — an AI layer on top of the old A9 search engine. A9 matched the words a shopper typed. COSMO reads intent: who the product is for, what it's used for, where and when, and what it pairs with. Someone searches "shoes for pregnant women" and never types "slip-resistant" — but that's what they need, and COSMO makes that leap.
Keywords still get you indexed. But intent signals are what get you recommended. COSMO grades every listing against 15 intent relations — and the average listing only covers about half of them. The check below shows your gaps.

What your AI-readiness score means
0–40%
Invisible to AI
COSMO can't connect your product to most shopper needs. You're losing impressions you'll never see.
41–70%
Partial coverage
You cover the basics. Add audience, use-context, and pairing signals to unlock more queries.
71–100%
AI-ready
Your listing speaks COSMO's language. It can be recommended for intent-based and Rufus searches.

⚡ The COSMO Audit Prompt
Act as Amazon's COSMO search algorithm. Here is my listing: [PASTE TITLE + BULLETS].
Score it 0–10 on each of these 15 intent relations:
WHO — target audience, typical user, buyer identity
WHAT IT DOES — specific function, task accomplished, capabilities
WHAT IT IS — functional class, category
WHERE / WHEN — occasion or activity, time or season, location, body area
WHAT IT CONNECTS TO — complementary products, shopper interests, desired outcome
Return a table: relation | covered? | current evidence | missing signal.
Then rewrite my title + 5 bullets to maximise intent coverage. Rules: use each keyword once (no stuffing), keep the title under 200 characters, and never repeat any word more than twice. Make every signal read naturally.
A generic "water-resistant jacket" becomes "jacket for rainy commutes." That second version is what the algorithm is actually looking for.
